How can I change the sounds pitch/frequency going through a pipe?

I was wondering if it is possible to change the frequency of the sound waves by making the end of the pipe funnel shaped, is this possible?

(i think this should reduce frequency) ie deeper sound
sorry this should really be listed in physics

There are a few factors that will relate to the pitch of the tone that the pipe makes. The length of the pipe and the diameter of the bike are the biggest factors. The longer the pipe, the lower the tone. The bigger the pipe, the lower the tone. Look at a pipe organ, the bigger pipes make lower tones.

I do not believe that adding a bell (like the end of a trumpet) will have a major effect on the tone, the bell will help to control volume, and the direction that the sound travels.
